Renewable/Sustainable Low Carbon Fuels and Chemicals Integrated Biorefinery

 Quazar Investment and Petron Scientech Inc. have formed a joint venture called Biopower Energy Solutions LLC, to build, own and operate a fully integrated biorefinery in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to meet the growing demand for renewable/sustainable low carbon fuels and chemicals.
The project will deploy the most advanced technologies demonstrated on a commercial scale, reducing over 1.5 Million Metric Tons of Green House Gas emissions. This project is directly aligned with supporting UAE achieve its goals of Net Zero Emissions by 2045.

Ethanol

The use of ethanol as a fuel for internal combustion engines, either alone or in combination with other fuels, has been given much attention mostly because of its possible environmental and long-term economic advantages over fossil fuel. It provides also high quality, high octane for exceptional engine performance and reduced emissions. 

Animal Nutrition Protein Feed

Distiller’s Dried Grains with Soluble (DDGS) is the dried residue remaining after the starch fraction of corn is fermented with yeasts to produce ethanol. Following fermentation, the ethanol is removed by distillation and the remaining fermentation residues are dried.

DDGS is an excellent source of digestible protein and energy for cattle, and it is highly palatable with a good source of readily available low-cost organic phosphorus and high in protein. The high energy level of DDGS is derived predominantly from fibre and fat and does not cause any risk of developing acidosis.

Corn oil also has multiple industrial uses. For example, it has been incorporated into soaps, paints, and inks. It also has been used in the production of certain insecticides and in the manufacture of biodiesel.

Drop-in Renewable Diesel

Is a fuel made from fats and oils, such as soybean oil or canola oil, and is processed to be chemically the same as petroleum diesel.

It’s considered as a pure hydrocarbon diesel fuel with a similar chemical composition to fossil diesel, which allows the fuel to be used as a drop-in replacement. It can be used without any modifications, neat (HVO 100) or blended at any ratio.

Bio-methanol

 Is a fuelwood-based methyl alcohol obtained by the destructive distillation of wood or by gas production through gasification.

It’s considered as an alternative energy source because of its high-octane number. Other advantages include low flammability, high performance, and low emissions. Methanol can be used in fuel cell–powered vehicles

The electrolyte is generally prepared from high-purity organic solvents, electrolyte lithium salts, necessary additives and other raw materials under certain conditions and in a certain proportion.

As the main part of the electrolyte, organic solvents are mainly divided into cyclic carbonate organic solvents, chain carbonate organic solvents, ether organic solvents and carboxylic acid organic solvents according to their different structures. Cyclic types include ethylene carbonate (EC) and propylene carbonate (PC).
